We are thrilled to reveal the 24 Finalists for the scan.art Emerging Artist Prize 2024. The first edition of the Emerging Artist Prize attracted an overwhelming number of applicants, with 1,692 artists from 109 countries submitting their best works. After careful and extensive review, our jury of 7 art industry experts has selected 24 outstanding artists who now get the chance to exhibit their works at the Finalist Exhibition at Bakerhouse Gallery in Graz, Austria.

A Truly International Art Prize
With 1692 applicants from 109 countries, the scan.art Emerging Artist Prize evolved into a global platform for emerging talent. The numbers speak for themselves:
- 897 Applicants from Europe
- 401 Applicants from Asia
- 115 Applicants from Africa
- 112 Applicants from North America
- 96 Applicants from South America
- 71 Applicants from Australia & Oceania
These artists submitted a total of 3,780 artworks across the various categories. The most popular medium was painting, representing 39% of submissions, followed by photography at 25%, mixed media at 19%, and drawing at 17%. This wide range of styles and media reflects the diversity and creativity of the artists participating in the competition.
Next Steps and Final Exhibition
All Finalists will showcase their works on October 18, 2024, at the Bakerhouse Gallery in Graz, Austria. At the exhibition, the winners of the scan.art Emerging Artist Prize 2024 will be announced. These winners will then exhibit their works at the Discovery Art Fair and World Art Dubai, gaining further international exposure and reaching a wide, international audience.
